We are still on the lookout for a good drummer and bass player.

There seems to be a national shortage of them.

Any good drummers and bass players in the Southampton area that like the music, please contact us and we can have a chat

We had a great gig at the good old King Alfred on Sunday. It was just the three of us ( Dave - guitars, Ric -  sax, clarinet and myself ) but the people were there and we had a great time. Ric dangled a mic, jobby wot notts and things over us for my new song and it came out ok. The fact you can hear people in the pub, playing pool and talking is basically the point of the song ( they did stop after a few seconds to listen though ).

I hope you like it and more of my live new song recordings are coming soon.....

We are sad to announce that our beloved drummer Dave is retiring from the band due to work commitments out of his control.

We have worked with Dave for the past 2 and a half years and have played some great gigs and had a lot of laughs. He has had to hang up his sticks for the moment and we will miss him greatly.

Dave has supplied the percussion and laughs for our performances at :-

Happy New Year our dear friends !!

We are pleased to announce that Mark Benfield has joined the band as our bass player

A bio and pick to shortly follow

We have been reviewed on " The Nobody Cares Show " They were listening to " One Man Woman, it starts about 9 minutes in.

We are sad to announce that our bass player Ken Bryant is having to leave the band due to new job circumstances.

He is unsure of his availability due to work commitments.

We wish him well and every success in his new venture, He will be sadly missed and we thank him for his contribution to the band.

We are very sorry to all that turned up to see us last light, hopefully this will never happen again.

We turned up at the Swan Inn Cosham last night to play a gig as booked. We were told that the bar manager had been sacked and that they did not want us to play. This is after we played a great gig back in August and had been booked for November and December at this venue.

Band members had taken time off work to play at this venue, driven 30 miles not just the dissapointment at not playing as well as letting our fans down but also we were left out of pocket.

Here is what other band members have said -

Dave Amey .

thanks swan for cancelling us without the decency of a phone call. we have all had to load gear and cancel other arrangements for this gig. ie i cancelled work tonite to play which cost me over £100. you also after agreeing £250 and booking us have broken your contract with us .this is unacceptable and your attitude towards me when i was within my right to complain was nothing short of discusting. also the lies you told which were that no bands are going to be booked was rubbish . .

i am also going to write and complain to any pub organisation i can think of and we are also going to put on every music website that your pub is to be avoided.

Ken Bryant

You did yourselves proud tonight, Swan. A great lesson in how to lose customers. Seriously, you've got a hell of a long way to go before you can call yourselves a live music venue. You do not treat bands the way that you did tonight and any self respecting band will not go near you. With a bit of luck you'll lose your music licence.......you have got one, have'nt you?..

Apologies again to those who were hoping to see us and we will be playing at the Royal Shades Hayling Island on 29th Octber.... we hope...

We had a great gig at the Stokes Bay Vehicle Rally on Monday.

The sun was shining, the cars were rallying, and many people came to enjoy the day. The Gosporteers raised a lot of money for the Mayors charities and all in all it was a success.

Ric and Ken sounded great and the two "Dave's" behaved themselves as well. ( They did not sound bad either !! ) I was fine when the wind was not blowing up my flute ( happens sometimes in windy fields...you know how it is... )

We have been asked back for next year too which is really great and we are looking forward to it.

There may be some more gigs to come from this so the gig calender may get fuller in the next few weeks.

More pictures to come of this event. They will be in the photo section in a few days.

We now look forward to our gig at The Swan Cosham on Saturday

This week ( and the last three ) we went through all the tracks including the new songs never played in public before and it all sounds really exciting and inspirational for all of us...
